Kicking Horse Ski Resort
From steep and gnarly chutes, to fast and fun glades, and even smooth and gentle groomers. The on snow experience at Kicking Horse is exceptional for the whole family. Come find out why Kicking Horse is the champagne powder capital of Canada. Don’t forget to grab a bite at Canada’s most elevated dining experience, Eagle’s eye restaurant.
Golden Skybridge
Adventure awaits at the Golden Skybridge, home to Canada’s highest suspension bridges. Soar through the sky on a zipline, climb towards the clouds on a rock wall or try your hand at axe throwing – there’s fun for everyone at the Golden Skybridge.
Emerald Lake
Located 45 minutes away, Emerald Lake is one of the most admired destinations in Yoho National Park. Hike, Canoe and swim in the summer and cross-country ski and snowshoe in the winter. Swimming comes highly recommended for the experience, but is not for the faint of heart. The water is cold!
Go Fish!
Cast a line in the countless rivers, lakes and streams around Golden. If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend hiring a guide from AAA guided tours. They do winter and summer trips
Roger’s pass/Glacier National Park
World class ski touring and hiking awaits at this national park located 45 minutes away. Home to many backcountry huts and massive glaciers, this place is an outdoorsmen’s dream.
Lake Louise
Located an hour drive away, Lake Louise offers great scenery and great skiing for the whole family. The views from the chairlift are unreal!
Bugaboos Provincial Park
Home to some of the best climbing and hiking in Canada, Bugaboos provincial park is located about 35 minutes away. The bugaboos are the birthplace of heli-skiing and an amazing place to explore.
